Between 1997 and 2015, I held various roles in a number of secondary schools, including (in no particular order) – Head of Geography, Head of Humanities, Teacher Governor, Director of Sixth form, Humanities Advanced Skills Teacher (AST) for Wiltshire LA, Geography Lead Practitioner & Digital Learning Leader.

In September 2015, I decided to take a break from teaching and took on the role of A-Level Geography and World Development Subject Officer for WJEC Eduqas in England & Wales. During this time I was responsible for the development of the new AS and A Level Geography Specifications, new Sample Assessment Materials, and all CPD for teachers, along with running the summer examinations process.

However, I missed teaching and in 2016, decided to return to the classroom. I am currently teaching Geography, History and Maths and have no leadership and management responsibilities for the first time in years….. and I’m loving it!
